Hi! My name is Alec Prettyman. I have been programming since the beginning of 2020. My first exposure to code was in late 2019 when a coworker of mine started a web development bootcamp called Devmountain. After talking with him for a few weeks about what he was learning, I applied to the bootcamp and completed the 3 month course. Since then I have gone back to work at the same bootcamp because I want to help other people the same way my instructors helped me. I also wanted to continue to build on my knowledge and grow as a programmer so I started taking night classes to learn more about server, operating system, and database programming.
While I spend a lot of my time coding, I also have a lot of hobbies I like to try to find time for as well. I like to ride my motorcycle, practice woodworking, play video games and sit down to watch a show with my wife while we do a puzzle! I love card and board games like Settlers of Catan or Risk. I'm always looking for games to play or projects to work on, whether it's programming or woodworking!
